Serving Mississauga

Reliable plumbing in Mississauga with honest pricing.

Mississauga has a lot of homes from the 1970s to the 1990s, plus lakeshore pockets that are much older and newer subdivisions to the north and west. Plumbing needs follow that age: aging fixtures and water heaters in the established neighbourhoods, and different questions in newer builds. We aim for honest prices and tidy work in all of them.

Local conditions

What Mississauga plumbing looks like

The age of the house and the local water decide most plumbing problems. Here is what we plan around in Mississauga.

Mid-century and 1980s homes

Many established neighbourhoods have original fixtures, valves and water heaters now reaching the end of their life. Replacing them on your schedule beats doing it during a flood.

Older lakeshore homes

Parts of Port Credit and Clarkson have older houses with older supply and drain materials, and some have been renovated in stages.

Pinhole leaks in copper

Copper lines can develop pinhole leaks over time. We find the leak, repair it, and talk about whether other sections are worth watching.

Newer builds and finishing work

In newer areas the jobs are usually fixtures, water heaters and basement finishing hookups rather than old pipe.

Permits

Permits & local rules

Some work needs sign-off from the municipality or another authority. These are general pointers for Mississauga; the official pages below are the source, and rules change.

Private-side water pipe

The Region of Peel says the owner is responsible for maintaining and replacing the private-side water pipe, and notes that homes built before 1960 might have lead in their service. It suggests calling your local building department for records of your pipes.

Call before you dig

Any project that breaks ground needs underground locates first. The request is free and is required by law.

Questions

Mississauga plumbing FAQ

Who looks after the water pipe from the street to my house?

In Peel, the Region says the private-side pipe belongs to the owner. We can look at yours and explain what we see.

My copper pipe has a pinhole leak. Do I need to replace everything?

Not necessarily. We repair the leak first and tell you honestly whether other sections look worth watching.

How old is too old for a water heater?

There is no single answer. We check the unit and give you options so you are not forced into a replacement mid-flood.

Do you work in newer subdivisions?

Yes, including fixture installs and basement hookups.
