Sound familiar?

If any of these ring true, this part of the audit is where to start.

  • You search for your own service and find competitors first
  • Google shows old pages, or none of your newer ones
  • Your address or phone number is different in different places online
  • Traffic dropped after a redesign and never came back
  • Search results show odd titles or descriptions for your pages
  • You’re not sure which pages customers actually find you through
Why it matters to your business

Customers searching for what you do find you, not a competitor.

When someone needs what you sell, they usually start with a search. If your business doesn’t appear, or appears below competitors, you never get the chance to win that customer. Most of them won’t scroll far, and they’ll never know you exist.

A lot of SEO problems are technical and invisible to owners. Pages accidentally hidden from Google, important pages without titles, duplicate versions of the same page competing with each other, or redirects left broken after a redesign. Each one quietly costs you visibility.

For local businesses, consistency matters as much as content. Your business name, address and phone number need to match across your website, your Google Business Profile and the directories customers use. Mismatches confuse both search engines and people.

Google has also confirmed that HTTPS is a ranking signal (since 2014), and that page experience, including speed, feeds into how it evaluates sites. The technical foundations and the content work together.

We don’t sell tricks or promise rankings. Nobody honest can guarantee a position on Google. What we do is make sure nothing is holding your site back, and give you a clear plan for the pages and content most likely to bring in customers.

How we audit it

What happens, step by step.

Senior-led from start to finish. We’ve completed hundreds of WordPress audits, and every finding is checked by hand, not just copied from a tool.

  1. Check what Google sees

Using Google Search Console, we review which pages are indexed, which are excluded and why, and any errors Google has flagged.

  2. Crawl the site

We crawl every page for missing or duplicate titles and descriptions, broken links, redirect chains, and heading structure.

  3. Review structure and content

We look at how pages are organized, whether each important service has a clear page, and whether structured data is in place.

  4. Check local signals

We compare your Google Business Profile and key directory listings with your website for consistent name, address and phone details.

  5. Prioritize

You get a ranked list: technical fixes first, then the content opportunities most likely to bring in customers.

Questions owners ask

Can you guarantee we’ll rank first on Google?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Rankings depend on Google, your competition and your content. What we can do is remove the technical barriers and give you a clear, realistic plan to improve.

Will my site go down during the audit?

No. The audit is read-only: we look, measure and test, but we don’t change anything on your live site. Anything heavier, such as load testing, is agreed with you first and run at a quiet time or against a copy of the site.

Do you need my logins?

Not to start. A lot can be checked from the outside, the way a visitor or Google sees your site. For the full picture we ask for a WordPress admin account and, ideally, read access to your hosting. We’ll walk you through creating a separate account for us, so you never share your own password.

How long does it take, and what does it cost?

It depends on the size and complexity of your site. After a quick look we give you a fixed quote and a timeline up front, so you know both before anything starts. There’s no obligation to go ahead with any fixes afterwards.

What if we already have a developer?

That’s fine. The report is written so your own developer can act on it, and we’re happy to talk it through with them. Many owners use an audit as an independent second opinion.
