Courtyard garden with a stone path

A narrow side yard became a quiet garden room. We kept the existing trees, laid a winding path and layered shrubs and perennials so something is in bloom from May to October.

What we did

• Measured the yard and drew a planting plan
• Laid a flagstone path with a gravel border
• Planted shrubs, grasses and perennials
• Added mulch and a seasonal care plan
